Mia Khalifa Announces Divorce From Husband Robert Sandberg; Former Porn Star Says 'Normalise Saying 'Congratulations' Instead Of 'I'm Sorry' When Someone Gets Divorced'
A few days ago, former porn star Mia Khalifa took to Instagram to announce her separation from husband Robert Sandberg. As many already know, she and Robert had been together for a couple of years and got engaged in 2019. The couple wanted to tie the knot in June last year, but it was called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the couple exchanged wedding vows with each other at their house the same month.

Few days after announcing split from husband Robert, she took to Twitter and urged everyone to normalise saying 'congratulation' instead of 'I'm sorry' when someone gets divorced. She tweeted, "Normalise "congratulations" instead of "I'm sorry" when someone gets divorced. We're not all under the covers crying into a pint of ice cream???"

The tweet comes days after she announced her divorced from Robert. She had penned a long note and mentioned the reason behind calling it quits. She shared a post that read, "“We can confidently say that We gave everything to make our marriage work, but after almost a year of therapy and efforts we walked away knowing that we have a friend in the other, and that we really tried."

She further added, "We will always love and respect each other because we know that it was not an isolated event that caused our breakup, but rather the accumulation of fundamental, irresolvable differences that no one can blame the other for. We are closing the chapter with no regrets and both starting our own, separately, but connected through incredible family, friends, and love for our dogs. This has been long overdue, but we're glad we took our time and gave it our all, and can walk away saying we tried our absolute hardest."
